Pepper Steak

Total Time: 2 hrs 15 mins Preparation Time: 45 mins Cook Time: 1 hr 30 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 6
  • 3 tablespoons cooking oil
  • 2 lbs chuck roast or 2 lbs steak, cut into thin strips
  • 3 cups water
  • 2 beef bouillon cubes
  • 1 red bell pepper, cut in strips
  • 1 green bell pepper, cut in strips
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce

Recipe

  • 1 brown meat in oil.
  • 2 add 2 cups water and bouillon cubes.
  • 3 cover and simmer 1 hour or until meat is tender.
  • 4 then add green and red peppers.
  • 5 blend together cornstarch, soy sauce and 1 cup water.
  • 6 add to meat mixture, stirring slowly until thickened.
  • 7 serve over fluffy cooked rice and additional soy sauce.
  • 8 note: i make this in an electric skillet.
