Stuffed Round Steak

Ingredients

- 1 1/2 lbs round steaks
- 1/4 cup finely chopped onion
- 1/2 cup chopped celery
- 3 tablespoons butter
- 2 cups of cubed day old bread
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon sage
- 1 dash pepper
- 1 tablespoon chopped parsley
- 1 tablespoon water
- 4 -6 tablespoons oil
- 1 (10 3/4 ounce) can mushroom soup
- 1/2 cup flour
- 1 cup water
Recipe
- 1 pound steak to flatten.
- 2 lightly cook onion and celery in butter
- 3 until golden.
- 4 add bread cubes, seasonings, parsley and water.
- 5 cut meat into 4 pieces
- 6 spread meat with dressing mixture.
- 7 roll up
- 8 fasten with toothpicks.
- 9 roll in flour.
- 10 brown in hot oil.
- 11 dilute soup with 1 cup of water.
- 12 pour over meat.
- 13 cover
- 14 simmer over low heat for 1 hour 30 minutes.
