Pan Fried Steak And Mushroom Gravy

Total Time: 18 mins Preparation Time: 3 mins Cook Time: 15 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 3
  • 1 lb chuck steak
  • salt and pepper
  • 1 teaspoon olive oil
  • 6 tablespoons real salted butter
  • 1/2 cup beef broth
  • 1/3 cup chopped onion
  • 2 minced garlic cloves
  • 1/2 lb sliced fresh mushrooms
  • 1 tablespoon kitchen bouquet

Recipe

  • 1 rub steak on both sides with seasoning of your choice.
  • 2 heat a cast iron skillet to medium hot.
  • 3 add 1 t butter until melted then place steak in pan.
  • 4 sear meat 4 inutes then flip adding 1 t butter and olive oil to the pan.
  • 5 sear 3 minutes remove meat and let rest.
  • 6 add onions to skillet and cook 1 minute add mushrooms and garlic and 1 t butter.
  • 7 cook until onions are done and clear.
  • 8 degalze with the broth and whisk in remaining butter 1 t at a time until starts to thicken add kitchen bouquet.
  • 9 serve sauce over steak.
