Libbies Beef Stroganoff

Total Time: 2 hrs 15 mins Preparation Time: 15 mins Cook Time: 2 hrs

Ingredients

  • Servings: 4
  • 1 lb steak
  • 2 tablespoons flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1/2 cup onion
  • 1 garlic clove
  • 6 1/2 ounces mushrooms
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1 (10 1/2 ounce) can cream of chicken soup
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 tablespoon parsley
  • 8 ounces egg noodles, cooked drained

Recipe

  • 1 pound flour salt and pepper into steak; i am guessing round steak. if you buy tenderized steak it is not such a chore and won't have to cook as long.
  • 2 melt the butter and cook onions; add garlic.
  • 3 add meat that has been cut into thin strips.
  • 4 add mushrooms with juice, water, and soup.
  • 5 cook over very low heat for 75 minutes. you may have to add more water here.
  • 6 when meat is tender, add sour cream and parsley just before serving.
  • 7 serve over egg noodles or just mix in to coat noodles.
