Salisbury Steak With Mushroom Sauce

Ingredients
- Servings: 6
- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
- 6 hamburger patties (each about 1/2-inch thick)
- salt
- pepper
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1 onion, chopped
- 3/4 lb mushroom, sliced
- 2 tablespoons flour
- 1 1/2 cups milk
- 1 teaspoon worcestershire sauce
- salt
- pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon paprika
- 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
Recipe
- 1 heat oil in large non-stick skillet.
- 2 cook patties approximately.
- 3 4 min per side.
- 4 season with salt& pepper.
- 5 remove from pan.
- 6 keep warm.
- 7 return pan to heat and add butter.
- 8 cook onions and mushrooms about 5 minutes or until tender.
- 9 sprinkle with flour.
- 10 cook 3 minutes longer.
- 11 add milk, worc.
- 12 sauce, salt, pepper and paprika.
- 13 bring to a boil.
- 14 reduce heat.
- 15 cook gently, uncovered, 4-5 minutes.
- 16 return patties to pan and cook 5 minutes or til cooked through.
- 17 taste and adjust seasonings, if necessary.
- 18 sprinkle with parsley.
- 19 **you can use thin minute steaks instead of hamburgers but cook steaks for 2 minutes in step 5 or til cooked through.
