Mom's Swiss Steak

Total Time: 1 hr Preparation Time: 15 mins Cook Time: 45 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 4
  • 1 round steak
  • 1/2 cup flour
  • salt
  • pepper
  • canned milk, to taste
  • 1 onion, cut into rings
  • oil

Recipe

  • 1 salt and pepper the round steak.
  • 2 flour the round steak.
  • 3 pound flour into steak with a meat mallet on both sides.
  • 4 cut onion into rings.
  • 5 cut steaks from round steak.
  • 6 fry the steaks in oil until brown. set aside.
  • 7 fry onions in the same pan.
  • 8 add the meat back to the pan.
  • 9 add the canned milk and enough water to make gravy.
  • 10 simmer until meat is tender.
