Philly Cheese Steak Casserole

Total Time: 1 hr 5 mins Preparation Time: 10 mins Cook Time: 55 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 6
  • 1 lb ground sirloin
  • 1 1/2 lbs pasta (any variation on macaroni, ziti, egg noodles, etc. will do)
  • 2 blocks provolone cheese (can use cheddar if you don't like provolone)
  • 1 pint light cream
  • 1 yellow pepper
  • 1 green pepper
  • 1 large onion
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • 1/4 cup butter

Recipe

  • 1 prep: chop onions, peppers, and garlic.
  • 2 shred the cheese, set aside 1/4
  • 3 boil the pasta until just al dente.
  • 4 in a separate pot, pour the cream and whisk in 3/4 of the cheese until smooth.
  • 5 in a large skillet, brown the ground sirloin and add the onions, peppers, and garlic.
  • 6 in an oven safe, large baking dish, combine the pasta, cheese sauce, and ground sirloin and vegetables.
  • 7 cover with the rest of the cheese and top with pieces of butter.
  • 8 let bake at 400 degrees until cheese is melted and light brown.
