Puff The Magic Salmon

Total Time: 30 mins Preparation Time: 15 mins Cook Time: 15 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 6
  • 6 salmon steaks, 3/4 inch thick
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • salt and pepper
  • 2 egg whites
  • 3/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/2 cup finely shredded gruyere or 1/2 cup emmenthaler cheese, about 2 oz
  • 1/4 cup chopped green onion
  • 2 tablespoons finely chopped parsley
  • 1 tablespoon finely chopped fresh dill or 1 teaspoon dried dill
  • 1 pinch cayenne

Recipe

  • 1 preheat broiler.
  • 2 arrange salmon steaks on a greased broiler pan, sprinkle with lemon juice, salt and pepper.
  • 3 broil 4-6 inches from heat, 6-8 minutes or until center is opaque.
  • 4 meanwhile, beat egg whites until stiff but not dry.
  • 5 fold in the remaining ingredients and spread mixture evenly over the fish.
  • 6 broil until lightly browned.
