Cuban Ham Rolls

Ingredients
- 1 ham steak, diced
- 1 green pepper, finely diced
- 1 red pepper, finely diced
- 1 small onion, finely diced
- 2 teaspoons garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons oil
- 3 (12 ounce) packages crescent rolls
- 3/4 cup apricot jam
Recipe
- 1 buy the large, thick ham steak with the bone in and dice, removing the bone and fat. finely dice the onion & peppers.
- 2 heat oil in large skillet and start to saute ham. then add onions and peppers and cook till softened. add garlic and cook 1 more minute.
- 3 let filling cool, then put a spoonful on the short end of each crescent, then roll to seal. bake according to roll pkg directions.
- 4 melt jam in microwave till spreadable. brush on rolls during the last 3-4 minutes.
- 5 any laftover filling can be used in scambled eggs or tossed into hot pasta.
