Salisbury Steak My Way

Total Time: 35 mins Preparation Time: 5 mins Cook Time: 30 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 4
  • 1 1/2 lbs lean ground beef
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper
  • 4 garlic cloves, minced
  • oil
  • 2 carrots, peeled and sliced
  • 1 red pepper, sliced thinly
  • 1/2 lb snow peas
  • 3/4 cup broccoli floret
  • 1 1/4 cups chicken broth
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 3/4 teaspoon glucomannan

Recipe

  • 1 combine burger, salt, pepper and garlic in a bowl and then shape into 4 patties.
  • 2 in a skillet cook patties over medium heat for 10-12 min, flipping once.
  • 3 remove meat from skillet.
  • 4 in a bowl combine chicken broth, soy sauce, rice vinegar, sesame oil and glucomannan. *the glucomannan will start setting up into a gel on the bottom of the bowl so whisk again right before adding to skillet.
  • 5 to skillet add carrots, bell peppers, snow peas and broccoli. you might need to add a small amount of oil if the pan is dry. saute for 5 minutes.
  • 6 add liquids to skillet and bring to a boil. cook, stirring constantly, for an additional 5 minutes.
  • 7 remove from heat and let rest for about 6 minute the sauce will thicken as it cools.
  • 8 serve patties smothered in sauce and vegetables.
