Salisbury Steak My Way

Ingredients
- Servings: 4
- 1 1/2 lbs lean ground beef
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon pepper
- 4 garlic cloves, minced
- oil
- 2 carrots, peeled and sliced
- 1 red pepper, sliced thinly
- 1/2 lb snow peas
- 3/4 cup broccoli floret
- 1 1/4 cups chicken broth
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
- 1 teaspoon sesame oil
- 3/4 teaspoon glucomannan
Recipe
- 1 combine burger, salt, pepper and garlic in a bowl and then shape into 4 patties.
- 2 in a skillet cook patties over medium heat for 10-12 min, flipping once.
- 3 remove meat from skillet.
- 4 in a bowl combine chicken broth, soy sauce, rice vinegar, sesame oil and glucomannan. *the glucomannan will start setting up into a gel on the bottom of the bowl so whisk again right before adding to skillet.
- 5 to skillet add carrots, bell peppers, snow peas and broccoli. you might need to add a small amount of oil if the pan is dry. saute for 5 minutes.
- 6 add liquids to skillet and bring to a boil. cook, stirring constantly, for an additional 5 minutes.
- 7 remove from heat and let rest for about 6 minute the sauce will thicken as it cools.
- 8 serve patties smothered in sauce and vegetables.
