Nutmeg Mashed Potatoes

Ingredients

  • Servings: 6
  • 4 large potatoes
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 2 teaspoons ground nutmeg, or to taste
  • 2 teaspoons salt, or to taste
  • 1/2 cup sour cream

Recipe

    Preparation Time: 10 mins Cook Time: 20 mins Ready Time: 30 mins

  • place potatoes into a large pot and cover with salted water; bring to a boil. reduce heat to medium-low and simmer until potatoes are tender and split open, about 20 minutes. drain and return potatoes to pot.
  • mash potatoes with butter, nutmeg, and salt using a potato masher or fork until well incorporated; stir in sour cream until mashed potatoes are creamy.
