Pepper Steak

Ingredients
- Servings: 4
- 1 lb round steak, sliced into thin strips (cut across grain)
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 1 teaspoon minced garlic
- 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
- 1/4 cup oil
- 1 cup green onion, thinly sliced
- 2 green peppers, cut in 1 in squares (can also use yellow and red peppers)
- 2 stalks celery, thinly sliced
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 1 cup water
Recipe
- 1 combine soy sauce, garlic and ginger. add steak, toss and set aside while cutting up vegetables.
- 2 in a large pan heat oil until lightly smoking.
- 3 add steak and cook until browned, cover and simmer for 30 to 40 minutes (may need to add a little water).
- 4 turn heat back up and add vegetables.
- 5 stir until vegetables are tender crisp, about 10 minutes.
- 6 mix cornstarch with water, and add to pan; stir and cook until thickened. eat plain or serve over rice.
