Mediterranean Steaks

Total Time: 15 mins Preparation Time: 5 mins Cook Time: 10 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 4
  • 2 lean rib eye steaks, 1 inch thick
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons dried oregano, crushed
  • 1 teaspoon dried basil, crushed
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon fresh ground black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, pressed or minced
  • 2 tablespoons crumbled feta cheese
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon chopped pitted kalamata olive

Recipe

  • 1 sprinkle both sides of the steaks with the oregano, basil, salt, and pepper.
  • 2 rub the seasonings into the meat.
  • 3 combine the oil and garlic in a large nonstick skillet.
  • 4 cook over medium heat for 1 minute, or until the garlic starts to sizzle.
  • 5 add the steaks to the skillet and cook for about 5 minutes on each side until medium-rare.
  • 6 remove from the heat and sprinkle with the feta, lemon juice, and olive.
  • 7 cut each steak in half before serving.
