Mild Beef Curry

Total Time: 2 hrs 10 mins Preparation Time: 10 mins Cook Time: 2 hrs

Ingredients

  • Servings: 6
  • 1 1/2 lbs chuck steaks
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 large onions, chopped
  • 2 tablespoons curry powder
  • 1/2 cup beef stock
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup coconut milk
  • 2 teaspoons salt

Recipe

  • 1 cut steak into small cubes and brown on all sides in the butter in a frying pan. set meat aside.
  • 2 add a little more butter and the onion. fry until soft and stir in the curry powder and cook for 3 minutes until the mixture is well browned.
  • 3 return the beef to the pan stirring well and lifting anything stuck to the bottom of the pan. cover with the rest of the ingredients and cook again for 2 minutes.
  • 4 simmer gently, covered lightly, for 1 1/2 hours or until the meat is tender and the sauce has thickened.
