Mild Beef Curry

Ingredients

- 1 1/2 lbs chuck steaks
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 2 large onions, chopped
- 2 tablespoons curry powder
- 1/2 cup beef stock
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/2 cup coconut milk
- 2 teaspoons salt
Recipe
- 1 cut steak into small cubes and brown on all sides in the butter in a frying pan. set meat aside.
- 2 add a little more butter and the onion. fry until soft and stir in the curry powder and cook for 3 minutes until the mixture is well browned.
- 3 return the beef to the pan stirring well and lifting anything stuck to the bottom of the pan. cover with the rest of the ingredients and cook again for 2 minutes.
- 4 simmer gently, covered lightly, for 1 1/2 hours or until the meat is tender and the sauce has thickened.
