Salisbury Steak My Style

Ingredients
- Servings: 4
- 1 lb ground beef 
- 1 (8 ounce) can v8 vegetable juice 
- 1/2 teaspoon salt 
- 1/2 teaspoon pepper 
- 1 tablespoon italian seasoning 
- 1/3 cup dried onion 
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder 
- 1 egg 
- 1 cup dried breadcrumbs 
- 3 dashes worcestershire sauce 
- 1 yellow sweet onion 
- 1 (4 ounce) can mixed mushrooms 
- 4 tablespoons olive oil 
- 4 tablespoons all-purpose flour 
- 2 1/2 cups beef broth 
Recipe
- 1 steaks. 
- 2 mix the ground beef, v8, salt, pepper, italian seasoning, dried onions, garlic powder, egg bread crumbs and worcestershire sauce together in a medium bowl. 
- 3 form into 6 oval patties about 1/2 inch thick. 
- 4 cover and let sit in refrigerator for 3-4 hours. 
- 5 after refrigeration heat 2 tbs oil in a saute pan. 
- 6 add 3 steaks at a time and brown on both sides until just cooked through. 
- 7 remove steaks and add to gravy pan. 
- 8 repeate the previous 2 steps with the remaning steaks. 
- 9 let steaks simmer in gravy for 20 minutes. 
- 10 gravy. 
- 11 in the mean time slice yellow onion into thin rings. 
- 12 saute onion rings in 2 tbsp olive oil on low heat until very soft. 
- 13 add mushrooms 
- 14 melt butter in the pan and add flour creating a roux. 
- 15 turn heat up to high. 
- 16 whisk in beef broth until lump free.
