Stripped Steak

Total Time: 1 hr 30 mins Preparation Time: 15 mins Cook Time: 1 hr 15 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 8
  • 1 medium onion, sliced
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 2 lbs round steaks, cut in strips
  • 1 (4 ounce) can mushrooms, drained
  • 2 tablespoons flour
  • 1 (10 ounce) can beef broth
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 tablespoon prepared mustard
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • salt and pepper, to taste
  • rice or noodles

Recipe

  • 1 saute onion in butter for 5 minutes.
  • 2 add steak strips and mushrooms.
  • 3 saute 5 to 10 minutes longer.
  • 4 add broth, mustard, brown sugar, worcestershire sauce, soy sauce, salt and pepper.
  • 5 blend flour into water and add to pan.
  • 6 mix well.
  • 7 cover and simmer over low heat for 45 to 60 minutes or until steak is tender.
