Mary's Swiss Steak

Ingredients
- Servings: 8
- 6 tablespoons margarine 
- 2 cups sliced onions 
- 2 lbs round steaks, cut into 1/2 in. thick strips 
- 1/2 cup flour, unsifted 
- 1 tablespoon salt 
- 1 teaspoon pepper 
- 1 teaspoon paprika 
- 1 cup water 
- 1/2 cup sour cream 
Recipe
- 1 melt 4 tbsp margarine in a large skillet, then sauté onions. remove from the skillet. 
- 2 coat the steak with the flour. season with salt and pepper. 
- 3 melt remaining margarine in the skillet and brown the meat well on both sides. 
- 4 mix with steak the onions, water, sour cream until blended. 
- 5 cover and cook over medium heat till meat is tender (30-45 min). 
- 6 uncover and cook until the sauce thickens (10 min). serve over hot cooked rice or noodles.
