Schweizersteg Med Surfløde- Danish Sour-cream Swiss Steak

Ingredients

  • Servings: 4
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 4 tablespoons flour
  • 2 lbs swiss steak
  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 2 tablespoons onions (chopped)
  • 3 tablespoons tomato puree
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1 teaspoon beef bouillon
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 cup sour cream

Recipe

  • 1 mix salt and pepper with the flour and pound it into the steak.
  • 2 brown the steak in the butter.
  • 3 add onion, tomato pureé and some water and bouillon.
  • 4 cover and simmer 1 hour over low heat, or bake 1 hour at 250 degrees fahrenheit in a preheated oven.
  • 5 add sour cream and mix well.
  • 6 simmer ½ hour longer.
