My Chicken Fried Steak

Ingredients
- Servings: 6
- 6 cube steaks
- 1/2 teaspoon cajun seasoning
- 1/2 cup wine
- 38 saltine crackers, finely crushed
- 1 cup flour
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 tablespoon cajun seasoning
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2-1 tablespoon season salt
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 cup buttermilk
- 1 egg
- 1/2 cup flour
- 4 cups peanut oil
Recipe
- 1 sprinkle 1/2 t. cajun seasoning and wine over steak. let set 1 hour or overnight.
- 2 mix crackers, 1 cup flour, baking powder, and remaining seasonings in a bowl.
- 3 mix buttermilk and egg in separate bowl.
- 4 place 1/2 cup flour in separate bowl.
- 5 dip steak in flour, then egg mixture then in seasoned cracker crumbs.
- 6 fry coated steaks in a skillet with peanut oil until golden brown. keep steaks warm in a 225 oven until ready to serve.
- 7 you can make your cream gravy from the pan drippings.
