Grilled Rib Eye Steaks With Six-spice Rub

Total Time: 3 hrs 10 mins Preparation Time: 3 hrs Cook Time: 10 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 4
  • 2 tablespoons ground cumin
  • 1 tablespoon ground paprika
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons ground ginger
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons ground coriander
  • 1 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 4 lbs boneless rib-eye steaks (each about 1 1/4 inches thick)
  • 8 lemon wedges

Recipe

  • 1 blend first 6 ingredients in small bowl.
  • 2 mix in oil to form smooth paste.
  • 3 rub mixture over steaks.
  • 4 transfer to baking pan.
  • 5 cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate at least 3 hours or overnight.
  • 6 prepare barbecue (medium-high heat).
  • 7 sprinkle steaks with salt.
  • 8 grill to desired doneness, about 5 minutes per side for medium-rare.
  • 9 place on cutting board; let stand 4 minutes.
  • 10 cut steaks into 1/2-inch-thick diagonal slices.
  • 11 transfer to platter.
  • 12 sprinkle with salt.
  • 13 serve with lemon.
