Grilled Sesame-garlic Beef Skewers

Total Time: 4 hrs 15 mins Preparation Time: 4 hrs Cook Time: 15 mins

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup worcestershire sauce
  • 2 tablespoons dry sherry
  • 1 tablespoon peanut oil
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1 garlic clove, minced
  • 1 teaspoon minced fresh ginger
  • 1 lb beef top round steak, cut into 1/4-by-3-inch strips
  • 24 snow peas, trimmed and strings removed, blanched

Recipe

  • 1 in a shallow glass baking dish, combine the worcestershire, sherry, peanut oil, sesame oil, garlic, and ginger.
  • 2 alternately thread the beef strips and snow peas on twelve 10-inch bamboo skewers.
  • 3 place the skewers in the baking dish and turn to coat with the marinade.
  • 4 cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour or up to 4 hours, turning the skewers several times.
  • 5 remove the skewers from the refrigerator 30 minutes before cooking.
  • 6 light a fire in a charcoal grill or preheat a gas grill or broiler.
  • 7 grill or broil the skewers for 4- to 6 minutes on each side.
  • 8 serve immediately.
