Slow Cooker Swiss Steak

Total Time: 8 hrs 10 mins Preparation Time: 10 mins Cook Time: 8 hrs

Ingredients

  • Servings: 4
  • 1 1/2 lbs round steaks, cut in 1-inch pieces
  • 1 (8 ounce) package sliced fresh mushrooms
  • 1 cup sliced onion
  • 1 cup siced celery
  • 1 tablespoon minced garlic
  • 1 (14 1/2 ounce) can fire-roasted tomatoes
  • 8 ounces tomato sauce
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1 (7/8 ounce) package brown gravy mix
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper

Recipe

  • 1 in 4 to 6 quart slow cooker, combine steak, mushrooms, onion, celery, and garlic.
  • 2 in medium bowl, combine tomatoes, tomato sauce, 1/2 cup water, gravy mix, salt, and pepper.
  • 3 pour over steak mixture. cover and cook on low 8 to 10 hours.
