Steak Or Veal Goulash

Total Time: 1 hr Cook Time: 1 hr

Ingredients

  • Servings: 6
  • 1 1/2 lbs veal or 1 1/2 lbs steak
  • 1/3 cup flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon celery salt
  • 2 tablespoons butter or 2 tablespoons margarine
  • 2 1/2 cups canned tomatoes with juice
  • 1/4 cup molasses
  • 3 carrots, diced
  • 1 small onion, sliced
  • 1 cup green pepper, finely chopped

Recipe

  • 1 cut veal or steak into 1 1/2 inch cubes. coat meat with a mixture of the flour, salt ,pepper and celery salt. brown meat on both sides in hot butter. remove meat from skillet, add 2 tablespoons of flour mix to butter and mix thoroughly. add tomaotoes, molasses, carrots, onion and green pepper. return meat. cover and simmer gently 1 hour until meat is tender.
