Stroganoff Steak Sandwiches

Ingredients

- 2 lbs flank steaks
- 2/3 cup dark beer
- 1/3 cup oil
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon pepper
- 3 medium onions, slice
- 1/2 lb mushroom, sliced
- 1/2 teaspoon paprika
- 2 tablespoons butter, melted
- 1 (8 ounce) container sour cream
- 12 slices french bread
Recipe
- 1 put steak in a large zip lock bag.
- 2 combine beer, oil, garlic powder, salt, and pepper and stir well; pour over steak and seal bag. marinade in the refrigerator for at least 8 hours, turning occasionally.
- 3 remove steak and discard marinade.
- 4 place steak on a lightly greased rack or broiler pan. broil 3 inches from heat for 8 minutes on each side or to desired doneness.
- 5 cut steak diagonally across the grain into thin strips and keep warm.
- 6 sauté onions, mushrooms and paprika in butter in a large skillet over medium high heat, stirring constantly till tender.
- 7 to serve: place 2 slices of french bread on serving plate and top with steak, onion/mushrooms and sour cream.
