Slow Cooker Swedish Steak

Total Time: 6 hrs 10 mins Preparation Time: 10 mins Cook Time: 6 hrs

Ingredients

  • Servings: 8
  • 2 -2 1/2 lbs boneless round steak
  • salt and pepper
  • 1 teaspoon dill weed
  • 1 medium onion, sliced
  • 1 beef bouillon cube, crushed
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1/4 cup flour
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1 cup sour cream

Recipe

  • 1 cut steak into serving size pieces, removing all visible fat. sprinkle steaks with salt and pepper.
  • 2 place in the slow cooker with the dill, onion and bouillon cube. add 1/2 cup water.
  • 3 cover and cook on low for 6 to 8 hours.
  • 4 remove the meat and thicken the juices with the 1/4 cup flour and 1/4 cup water.
  • 5 add the sour cream.
  • 6 return the meat to the slow cooker.
  • 7 serve over mashed potatoes or egg noodles.
