Saucy Salisbury Steak

Ingredients
- Servings: 6
- 1 egg
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- salt and pepper
- 2 (1 1/4 ounce) packages each lipton onion soup mix
- 4 cups water
- 1 1/2 lbs lean chop meat
- 1 (8 ounce) package sliced mushrooms
- 1/2 cup ketchup
- 1 teaspoon worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon prepared mustard
- 4 teaspoons cornstarch
Recipe
- 1 mix onion soup with 4 cups water.
- 2 beat egg in large bowl. add bread crumbs, salt, pepper , 1/2cup of onion soup mixture and beef and combine. shape into 6 oval patties.
- 3 cook patties in a little olive oil for about 4 minutes per side. remove from pan cover and keep warm.
- 4 add mushrooms to pan and sautee till golden.
- 5 then add cornstarch to rest of onion soup mixture and add that to pan with mushrooms whisking well.
- 6 then add ketchup, worshteshire and mustard. mix well then add patties back to pan and simmer covered for 15 minutes or till cooked through.
