Saucy Salisbury Steak

Total Time: 30 mins Preparation Time: 15 mins Cook Time: 15 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 6
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • salt and pepper
  • 2 (1 1/4 ounce) packages each lipton onion soup mix
  • 4 cups water
  • 1 1/2 lbs lean chop meat
  • 1 (8 ounce) package sliced mushrooms
  • 1/2 cup ketchup
  • 1 teaspoon worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon prepared mustard
  • 4 teaspoons cornstarch

Recipe

  • 1 mix onion soup with 4 cups water.
  • 2 beat egg in large bowl. add bread crumbs, salt, pepper , 1/2cup of onion soup mixture and beef and combine. shape into 6 oval patties.
  • 3 cook patties in a little olive oil for about 4 minutes per side. remove from pan cover and keep warm.
  • 4 add mushrooms to pan and sautee till golden.
  • 5 then add cornstarch to rest of onion soup mixture and add that to pan with mushrooms whisking well.
  • 6 then add ketchup, worshteshire and mustard. mix well then add patties back to pan and simmer covered for 15 minutes or till cooked through.
