Ingredients

- 4 (4 -6 ounce) beef cube steaks
- 2 tablespoons margarine
- 4 cups sliced fresh mushrooms (about 12 oz)
- 1 large onion, cut into wedges
- 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- 1 1/2 cups milk
- 1/2 cup a.1. original sauce or 1/2 cup a- 1 bold steak sauce
- hot cooked rice (optional)
Recipe
- 1 in large skillet, over high heat, cook steaks in margarine 5 minutes on each side for to desired doneness. remove from skillet, keep warm.
- 2 in same skillet, sauté mushrooms and onion until tender. stir in flour until well blended. add milk; cook until mixture thickens and begins to boil, stirring constantly. sir in steak sauce. serve sauce over steaks and rice if desired.
