Pepper-crusted Flank Steak

Total Time: 15 mins Preparation Time: 5 mins Cook Time: 10 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 4
  • 1 1/2 lbs flank steaks
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

Recipe

  • 1 preheat oven to 400°f rub steak on both sides with salt and pepper.
  • 2 warm oil in a large ovenproof skillet over medium-high heat. add steak and cook until browned on 1 side, about 1 minute. carefully flip steak and cook until browned, about 1 minute longer.
  • 3 transfer skillet to oven and cook steak to desired doneness - 6 to 8 minutes for medium-rare. transfer steak to a cutting board, tent with foil to keep warm and let stand for 5 minutes before slicing and serving.
