Steak In Pizzaiola Sauce

Ingredients
- Servings: 4
- 1 lb top round beef or 1 lb top sirloin steak, 1/4 inch thick,cut into 4 pieces
- 1 1/2 cups diced tomatoes
- 2 cloves garlic
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 3/4 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 3 -4 drops hot pepper sauce (optional)
- 3 tablespoons minced fresh parsley
Recipe
- 1 place oil and garlic in large skillet over medium heat for 2-3 minutes or until garlic is golden brown.
- 2 press down on garlic to release juices, then discard garlic.
- 3 add steaks to skillet and cook 1-2 minutes or until steaks are done, turning once.
- 4 place steaks on serving platter.
- 5 add tomatoes, oregano, salt and hot pepper sauce to skillet.
- 6 bring to a boil.
- 7 boil, stirring occasionally, 4-5 minutes or until sauce is slightly thickened.
- 8 stir in parsley.
- 9 pour sauce over steaks and serve.
