Mom's Meatloaf

Ingredients
- 2 lbs ground chuck (or any other type of ground meat you like)
- 2 eggs
- 1 cup italian seasoned breadcrumbs
- 1 tablespoon a.1. original sauce
- 1 small onion, chopped fine
- 1 -2 garlic clove
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1/2 cup barbecue sauce
- 1 cup barbecue sauce
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 2 tablespoons honey mustard (or regular mustard)
Recipe
- 1 in a saute' pan, saute onions and garlic on medium heat in olive oil stirring till tender and fragrant, about 2 minutes. set aside and let cool.
- 2 in a large mixing bowl using your hands, mix together ground chuck, eggs, breadcrumbs, steak sauce & bar-b-q sauce.
- 3 mix in cooled onions. if mixture is too mushy, add more breadcrumbs…or add more bar-b-q sauce if too dry.
- 4 form into a loaf using a 13 x 9 baking pan. bake for 35 minutes at 375°.
- 5 while meat is cooking, place topping ingredients in a saucepan. bring to a slow boil, stirring until sugar has dissolved. remove from heat.
- 6 spread topping on top of loaf and continue baking for another 10 minutes or until center of meat is done.
