Mimmie's Beef Stroganoff

Ingredients
- Servings: 4
- 2 lbs chuck steaks, cut in strips 
- 1 tablespoon butter 
- 1 (4 ounce) can drained mushrooms 
- 1 medium onion (optional) 
- 1 (8 ounce) can tomato sauce 
- 1/4 teaspoon pepper 
- 1 tablespoon worcestershire sauce 
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch 
- 1 cup sour cream 
-  salt 
Recipe
- 1 brown meat in butter. 
- 2 add tomato sauce, salt, pepper, and worcestershire sauce. 
- 3 cover and simmer until meat is tender. 
- 4 mix cornstarch and water until smooth. 
- 5 stir into meat mixture. 
- 6 cover and cook 10 more minutes, stirring often. 
- 7 cool slightly and stir in sour cream.
