Mimmie's Beef Stroganoff

Total Time: 35 mins Preparation Time: 10 mins Cook Time: 25 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 4
  • 2 lbs chuck steaks, cut in strips
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1 (4 ounce) can drained mushrooms
  • 1 medium onion (optional)
  • 1 (8 ounce) can tomato sauce
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 tablespoon worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • salt

Recipe

  • 1 brown meat in butter.
  • 2 add tomato sauce, salt, pepper, and worcestershire sauce.
  • 3 cover and simmer until meat is tender.
  • 4 mix cornstarch and water until smooth.
  • 5 stir into meat mixture.
  • 6 cover and cook 10 more minutes, stirring often.
  • 7 cool slightly and stir in sour cream.
  • 8 serve over flat noodles.
