Pan Seared Herbed Salmon

Total Time: 15 mins Preparation Time: 5 mins Cook Time: 10 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 4
  • 4 (6 ounce) salmon steaks (any variation, skin removed)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil (or more if desired)
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried basil
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper

Recipe

  • 1 rub the salmon steaks on all sides with olive oil.
  • 2 combine all herbs and seasonings in a small bowl.
  • 3 sprinkle mixture over salmon on all sides.
  • 4 place salmon in a screaming hot frying pan and cook for 3-4 minutes on each side or until both sides are lightly browned and crisp. keep pan covered. do not overcook, as fish will turn out dry.
