Mexican Steak

Ingredients
- Servings: 4
- 1 1/4 lbs boneless round steak
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 4 ounces can chopped green chilies, drained
- 8 ounces jar taco sauce
- 1/2 cup shredded monterey jack cheese
Recipe
- 1 trim excess fat from steak. cut steak into 4 pieces, and pound to 1/4 inch.
- 2 thickness.
- 3 brown steak in butter, and place in a lightly greased shallow 2 quart casserole. top with chilies and taco sauce.
- 4 cover and bake at 350 for 40 minutes. sprinkle steak with cheese, and bake, uncovered, an additional 5 minutes.
