Mexican Steak

Total Time: 1 hr Preparation Time: 15 mins Cook Time: 45 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 4
  • 1 1/4 lbs boneless round steak
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 4 ounces can chopped green chilies, drained
  • 8 ounces jar taco sauce
  • 1/2 cup shredded monterey jack cheese

Recipe

  • 1 trim excess fat from steak. cut steak into 4 pieces, and pound to 1/4 inch.
  • 2 thickness.
  • 3 brown steak in butter, and place in a lightly greased shallow 2 quart casserole. top with chilies and taco sauce.
  • 4 cover and bake at 350 for 40 minutes. sprinkle steak with cheese, and bake, uncovered, an additional 5 minutes.
