Mushroom Sauce For Steak

Ingredients

• Servings: 4
• 3 tablespoons butter
• 1 onion, large, sliced thinly
• 2 cups mushrooms, sliced
• 2 teaspoons cornflour
• 1 cup water
• 2 teaspoons vegemite
• 2 tablespoons tomato sauce
• 2 teaspoons worcestershire sauce
• 2 teaspoons grainy mustard

Recipe

• 1 heat the butter in a pan and saute the onion for 5 minutes or until onion's are soft. add the mushrooms and cook a further 2 minutes. blend the cornflour with a little of the water and add to the pan with remaining water, vegemite, sauces and mustard. stir over a medium heat until the sauce thickens.
• 2 pour over steaks for serving.
